Now where do I start. . . . . .

I know that testimonies are supposed to start at the beginning, but mine is going to start right here. This beautiful little girl is my third grandchild and first granddaughter! I am so blessed beyond measure and I want to shout it from the mountain tops! Now. . . . let us take a look a little further back. I have such a wonderful family. . . . my mom and dad have been married for 45 years and I have two beautiful sisters with corresponding husbands and children . . . . hehe! Growing up the oldest of three girls, I always have had an overwhelming sense of being a protector and have a love for taking care of people in many different ways. Now my sisters might tell you that I was mean and cruel. . . . well, I may have been to them at times, but no one else was allowed to be! There is a fella out there named Michael who probably still shudders at the mention of my name! He picked on my sister one too many times and let's just say that the choke hold I put him in on the ground may have scared him for life. . . . . but Luisa never had to worry about him again! One thing you will learn about me is that you do not mess with my family, blood or self proclaimed family! You see, once you are my friend, you have become my family! My life as a teenager was a rather interesting one to say the least. At the age of fourteen I truly accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as my Savior! I had such a love and passion for Jesus, but I lacked true knowledge of His Word. I knew at such a young age that I was chosen for something special for the Lord. God blessed me with an extremely high Soprano voice. God was giving me different avenues to use my voice, but for some reason I sought out the attention of young men rather than doing the will of my Father. At one point I was known as Lorri the fickle pickle because I liked most all of the fella's in my youth group! The reason I share this somewhat now embarrassing fact is because I want young ladies to know that I made many mistakes during time of my life that could have been avoided had I really known my Word and trusted what God had promised me in His Word!
