When God laid this project on my heart, I knew it was going to be a great test of my faith.......I mean think about it, 365 different testimonies!!!!! God gave me 7 to start with, some long, some short......but ALL Important! As I was trying to find one to post for today, He brought me to this poem I had written and He reminded me that this is one part of what makes me.....me! It was a transforming moment in my life......a day that I received new eyes and a transformed heart! I am so thankful for this day! The picture I posted is not that particular Blue Eyed Angel.....however it is another one that God placed in my path at a concert we did in Anniston, Alabama. My heart was taken back to the day I met my FIRST Blue Eyed Angel......I don't know why God chose to bless me with another one.....but I will take every opportunity He gives me any day of the week! As a matter of fact......He has given me some very special Angels that live in a nursing home! Please be praying about sharing your testimonies.....God truly is going to use them! Ask Him what to write and He will let you know....even if it is in the form of a POEM!!!! May God bless you as you read this!

My Blue Eyed Angel
I remember the day when God brought you to me,
My blue eyed angel on the side of the street.
Your beard was snow white as well as your hair,
Your wrinkles were deep and your skin was quite fair.
You stopped me and asked if I was gonna eat my leftover food,
And as I bent over I said, “No, I saved it just for you!”
Tears filled your eyes and I told you it was ok,
That God was providing your lunch for today!
But then you told me, “You don’t understand, You
Looked me in the eyes as you put the food in my hands!”
He said, “No one looks me in the eyes, they all look away!”
Then my eyes filled with tears on this MY heart lesson day!
You see, my blue eyed Angel taught me one thing for sure,
Most people see homelessness as a disease with no cure.
My heart had been broken and that day I got schooled,
For not “Seeing” the homeless, it is far less than cool.
My God is a God who loves ALL He has created,
Whether they are finely dressed or looked down upon and degraded.
When God leads me to I will do what I can,
By giving some food to a sweet outstretched hand.
To my sweet Blue eyed Angel on the side of the street,
I am ever so thankful that our God let us meet!
I encourage all those who see someone with their life in a cart,
To take a moment to pray and react with a Godly new heart!
You may never know when you will find your own Angel out there,
With great big blue eyes and dirty white hair!
