Oh man, oh man, oh man, oh man!!!! Tonight was such and incredible blessing! It started out with Russ, Mollie and I going to a concert in which we scored free tickets to see FireFlight! (an absolutely rockin, incredible band!) Against the Downpour was going to open for them in August, but the concert was canceled. James, the promoter, invited us to come to the concert last night and meet with some of the people there and make some great contacts. Now, Mollie......the "when we are in Ball Ground Band Mom" came and met us there. The rest of the band had other commitments so we went to represent. When James came to let us in, he looked a bit stressed. Apparently most of his volunteers did not show up, so we instantly volunteered to help. They needed help at the Merch tables so Russ was at the KJ52 (I think) table, Mollie at the Seventh Time Down table and I was at the Spoken table. Well, 6:30 was the starting time and very few people were there. They delayed the starting time to 7:00 and yet......still no people. All total, there were about 30 people so it ended up quite an intimate concert. Honestly......we really enjoyed the concert from the lobby! I laughed, met people, sold stuff, shared cards......danced, tripped over boxes......you know.....normal Lorri stuff! Mollie and I were back to back.....and we had fun! A few times we stepped in the concert hall when no one was out there.....and let me tell you, Mollie and I......we got our SWAG ON!!!!! Well, at least I tried! I am pretty sure if my kids would have been there.....they would have denied knowing me! When the headliner, FireFlight came on.....we went in. Now, if you know me....I have vertigo......all I need to say is strobe lights, and you will know that my face was hidden most of the concert......but my head was still rockin! They were INCREDIBLE!!!!! Russ was behind us and he was mesmerized! He was so caught up that Mollie determined that he forgot to wear his "partici pants"!!!! Hehehehe......she kept me laughin!!! After it was over we met several people in the bands, and we then went home. This night was perfect, at least it was for me!!!! God is so great, and in a time when I needed laughter.......God provided it.......when James needed help......He provided it........when the Band needed contacts......God provided those too! Honestly......I think we had more fun than we would have if we just sat in the concert! G
